Proceeds dedicated to the Janet Weis Children's Hospital

On September 15, 2007, dozens of Penn Staters broke away from their homework and NFL games on TV to help a great cause by participating in the first annual Alpha Sig Wiffleball Tournament. The proceeds were dedicated to the Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Taking a much need break in the HUB Pavilion

Each team contributed and bystanders were encouraged to donate to the good cause. All in all, the event was a great success. The play may not have been All-Star quality, but everyone made the most of the perfect weather. Everyone had fun and most importantly, money was raised for the children's hospital.

The chapter will soon present the hospital with a gift in the form of new video games and entertainment equipment for the children undergoing medical care there.

We look forward to helping them again in the future by making this an annual event.
