Everything is in place for a great year!
"It's in our hands now and we plan to make the most of it"
The undergraduates are off to a great start for the Fall '07 semester.
Thanks to the efforts of the brothers living in the chapter house
over the summer, we became the most visible Penn State fraternity
and we plan to carry that momentum into a successful fall rush.
Now that the school year has started, the brotherhood has continued
to host recruitment events on an almost daily basis to attract
our future brothers and fraternity leaders.
One early effort to maintain and expand our visibility is a Wiffleball
Tournament to benefit the Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville,
Pennsylvania. It will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, on the HUB lawn.

Our monthly speaker series will premier on October 3rd. The Career
Services Center will be holding a seminar at the Old Gal addressing
the importance of self-marketability during your first two years
in college. Practical learning to develop our brotherhood is one
of the many advantages of belonging to Alpha Sigma Phi.

We're extremely thankful for all the help we're receiving from
our Alumni and the Chapter Advisory Team. They have contributed
immensely to our recruitment efforts, as well as to improving the
house. Thanks to them, we now have brand new refrigerators and
cookware, and all the kitchen appliances are as good as new.
Everything is in place for a great year. It's in our hands now
and we plan to make the most of it.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Homecoming - Please

New Rush Brochure helps with our #1 Priority - Fall Rush!
Will help us meet our recruitment goals and welcome the university's
best into our brotherhood
Under the direction of Eric Musser ’08 and Martin Gutmann ’08,
we have completely designed and produced an excellent tool we
will use to advertise Upsilon to the general PSU freshman population.
Our newly created ‘Upsilon Rush Brochure’ was
an idea which originated from Brother Musser during the June
Upsilon Corporation meeting at Brother Lange’s house in
Downingtown, PA.
This trifold brochure will be distributed to to freshman who
meet the rigorous criteria of being an Alpha Sigma Phi brother.
We are very optimistic about Fall Rush and we believe the new
Brochure will help us meet our recruitment goals and welcome
the university's best into our brotherhood.
We had 1200 printed in the first run. Click here to download
a pdf version of the Rush Brochure - Let us
know what you think.

We're also working to broaden our online presence in various "public" forums
in an effort to connect with all brothers. This will provide
additional avenues for uniting beyond house events and the chapter
website.
One such place is the online networking site Facebook, which
is now open to all. The group can be found at http://psu.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2200499763.
Another is a MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/alphasigpsu.
This is in very early stages, but will hopefully help perpetuate
our brotherhood.
Any comments for the Actives...
